There are so many things in my life that define me; Bipolar is not one of them! There is a huge stigma that society attaches to mental illness. For someone to feel ashamed of an illness they have due to society’s misconceptions is in no way acceptable. “This is a disorder that affects millions of people and I am one of them. If my revelation of having bipolar II has encouraged one person to seek help, then it is worth it. There is no need to suffer silently and there is no shame in seeking help.” -Catherine Zeta-Jones
Beautifully said- I couldn't agree more!
Replace Bipolar II with Bipolar I and I could've said it!
