Ah, my dear friend Gandhi. On graduation day from my MBA program a little over a year ago, the person we elected to speak gave us all superlatives! Mine? Most likely to follow in Gandhi's footsteps in the non-profit world!
Mental Illness does not define someone! It's nothing more than a diagnosis. Bipolar Disorder is an illness I have; it in no way defines who I am! There are so many things in my life that define me; Bipolar is not one of them! There is a huge stigma that society attaches to mental illness. For someone to feel ashamed of an illness they have due to society’s misconceptions is in no way acceptable.
